(a.k.a. CEAT, Engineering)
The UPLB College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology traces its roots back from the creation of the then Department of Agricultural Engineering under the UP College of Agriculture (UPCA) in 1912. The Agricultural Engineering Curiculum was even a joint program with the UP College of Engineering in Diliman (4 years in Diliman; 5th in Los Baños).
Several years after the campus autonomy of UP units in Los Baños, some of its units were developed as colleges. The then Isitute of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (INSAET) was elevated into the present College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology. The units under the then INSAET were elevated into units, but consolidated as units of the reconstituted Institute of Agricultural Engineering (IAE). The Sugar Technology Program of UPCA and the dissolved Forest Products Engineering curriculum of CFNR were adopted by the College to the Department of Chemical Engineering. The Civil Engineering Department holds a consistent 100% passing rate in board exams. Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering curriculum are added. The Agricultural Machinery Testing and Evaluation Center (AMTEC) is responsible for the development of the Philippine Agricultural Engineering Standards.
Presently, the college is recognized as being a consistent top performing school in terms of passing rates in board exams. The College is also noted to spearheaded the National Biofuels Program of the Philippines and the Agricultural Mechanization Development Program.
