  All this is true why? Because all those researchers who learned here actually went home and APPLIED their knowledge..... with support from their governments.... the Philippines? They have all the technology but NO ONE wants to apply it... Seeds? Uhhmmm NFA? PhilRice? BPRE? all these are supposed to do this but are more concerned with POLITICS..... You can blame IRRI if you want, but truth is, the PINOY POLITICS is the usual culprit

  Yes yes, Pedro Morales is correct. We have all the people, the technology, the materials, the know how, the institutions which know all this technology who churn out the people who can apply all this technology built, developed, perfected by Filipinos. Now being used by our neighboring countires. They all learned everything from us. Good for them, their governments supported them from the start and are now reaping the results of their success. Here in our beloved Philippines the stupid, corrupt, inept, self serving, idiotis, moronic government does nothing to take advantage of what we have right in front of our faces and instead work so very hard to enrich themselves and their allies in the government and private sector. Do not blame IRRI or UP or UPLB. The government is the real culprit here. On their heads I put the hardships, the troubles, the poverty of this generation and generations to come. People are dying of hunger. People are leaving to work as maids and ass wipers in other countries because of the government. But here's the kicker...You got to remember that we deserve who we vote for. We got what we deserve in other words. I say, dump the government, the whole lot of them, start anew. Put the right people for the right jobs in running every sector of the country. A new Philippine Revolution!!!! Not the communists though. Communism is DEAD! We need a new start. Else, this shit will continue, just go on and on.....poor Philippines my Philippines, land that I adore...
