Gyachung Kang is a significant mountain between Everest and Cho Oyu on the Tibetan - Nepalese border. Elevation 7,952 metres (26,089 feet). It ranked 15th highest mountain in the world. It belongs to the Mahalangur Himal of the Himalaya Range. It was first ascented in 1964 by a Japanese team.
