Former site of the homes of many of Chattanooga's wealthiest families, the homes were razed during the urban renewal craze of the 1960s. The top of the hill was levelled for fill dirt during construction of the approaches to Olgiati Bridge on I-124, now known as U.S. Hwy 27.

Apartments were built atop the hill in the early-1970s and, as the homes before them, are a thing of the past. Cameron Hill was serve as the headquarters of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee beginning in the spring of 2009.
