This plant is supposed to process the stinky, dangerous leather tannery effluent from nearby tanneries and the treated water is let into the open drain. This was built in 1992 on turnkey basis by M/s GREAVES Ltd and the civil works were done by M/s ALLIED BUILDERS, CHENNAI. As on 23rd May 2008 not sure whether the plant is working or not.
