Unit 2 (Abandoned) Cooling Tower

This work of art was nearly completed when it was decided to be abandoned along with the remainder of construction of Unit 2. It is an amazingly large structure. You can notice from this picture that the base of this cooling tower appears to be on concrete stilts, you are correct, as air needs to flow from bottom to top (convection). Many locals are not able to see the base, and to their surprise, it is NOT solid all the way to the ground. An amazing engineering design.
