Orchard had its "moment in the sun" in the 1970s when it was the primary filming location for "Centennial". The epic mini-series based on James Michener's novel of the same name. Many of the buildings used or built for the filming are still standing, but the Railway Arms is gone. Gone too are the railroad tracks, but the right of way is still discernible.
