A drop of water running down this hill can end in three different rivers :
- Arkansas then Mississipi to the Gulf of Mexico Atlantic
- Gunnisson then Colorado to the Pacific basin
- To a closed basin - water from this third drainage has been diverted by the Army Corp of Engineers to the Rio Grande and thence to the Gulf of Mexico
