  • Sceptre Park, Olton, Solihull is a residential development of 120 two/three bedroom leasehold flats, within a bounded area of some 10 acres. There is 4 bifurcated blocks of flats. The blocks are called Amythest Court, Emerald Court, Garnet Court and Sapphire Court. Emerald Court has 3 floors of 4 flats each floor (2 x 12 flats), the others have 4 floors of 4 flats (2 x 16 flats). The ground floor to all blocks is given over to allocated parking garages, which are demised to individual flat leases and other services. The garages in Emerald and Garnet Courts have covered access through a door at the rear of the main foyer into tunnels at the ground floor level where the garages are located. Garages at the Amythest and Sapphire Courts are accessed from the buildings' external hard standing. In addition to the garages each half block has un-allocated parking spaces close to the front entrance. Not all flats have demised garages. There is no internal interconnection between the two halves of each block: the building halves are serviced by lifts which have recently been refurbished. The roof to all blocks have been recovered with modern high performance materials. Reference to the plan/map shows Amythest Court to be the most northerly block, Emerald Court the most southerly and Garnet Court the most easterly. Four first floor flats in Emerald Court and four first floor flats in Garnet Court have large patio areas on the roofs of the garages below. A communal drying room in Sapphire Court boasts a coin pay clothes tumble dryer. The lawned grounds have two shallow ponds and are well stocked with mature screening trees to the park perimeter and surrounding houses. Access to the park is from a quiet Solihull council maintained road, Chelmscote Road. Representative post codes are:- B92 8BY, B92 8BX, B92 8BZ and B92 8DA. Abercona Investments are the landlords, Pennycuick Collins are the managing agents and Sceptre Park RTM companies are responsible for maintenance. Internet connection (copper wire) is mediocre and subject to intermittent interruption, being some 2,3 km from an exchange.
