The site has extensive paths through flower meadows and recently planted woodlands. It is a good area for bird watching, with a wildlife lake and bird hide. There is a permissive bridleway around the site marked by white topped posts. There is a car park, picnic area and dog bins and two wheelchair friendly gates.

The site has picnic trials and lots of dogs are walked along the paths, bins are provided and the nature area is closed at 20:30 on a daily basis.
