The Indianapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) is a major Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Area Control Center, controlling en-route aircraft flight operations for approximately 73,000 square miles of the Midwestern United States, including parts of Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and Tennessee. It is the 12th busiest ARTCC in the U.S.
