Jardim Sulacap, or simply "Sulacap", is a West Side neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro municipality. Its inhabitants are mainly middle class people. It's a nice and calm place, with many green areas, and a (about) 2.5 km lane for biking and jogging. It has little stores (the more important is a Carrefour supermarket) and a famous cemetery, "Jardim da Saudade" (something like "Garden for Beloved People Who Are no More Among Us"). There is, adittionaly, a police station and a medical care post. The name "Sulacap" comes from Sul America Capitalização (an insurance company) have demarcated the blocks in there. It is said it is one of two neighborhoods in Rio with no shantytowns (the other would be Urca, in South Side).
