The John Paul Jones was the 2nd member of the Forrest Sherman Class of Guided Missile Destroyers in service with both US Naval Fleets from 1956 to 1982.
Following her decommissioning she was held at Bremerton in reserve until she was sunk as a target at this location on January 31st, 2001.
