    It is likely a hangar/storage building for the airstrip. In 1961 I flew in to Longstaff Bluff which was a DEW Line station identified as Fox 2 at the time.

    I've had a more detailed look at this and it is, in fact, the hangar. if you look very closely along the beach area between teh airstrip and the water, you might be able to see ancient "stone rings" used by the Inuit when they rolled stones on to the edges of their tents (there are no trees in the Arctic) to keep their tent walls firm to the ground. When they moved on, they simply rolled the stones off - leaving a circle - and used them again next time they passed by. Peter Hill
