  • This picture was taken from the top of Mount San Jacinto (at the top of the aerial tramway station), looking north across the Coachella Valley into Morongo Valley. To get there, you must take a VERY dramatic highway that climbs very steeply from the valley floor. You can see highway 62 straight as an arrow heading north, but when it gets to the mountains, it makes a sharp left as it climbs up the hill.
