Hoghiz is a commune in Braşov County composed of six villages: Bogata Olteană, Cuciulata (Katscheloden; Kucsuláta), Dopca, Fântâna, Hoghiz and Lupşa.
Hoghiz the village is located in central northern county of Brasov, in Rupea in the city center Rupea is polarizing.

Of geographical and geomorphological administrative territory of the commune is situated in the north Hoghiz - eastern Transylvanian Basin in an area with its massive mountain of Persian. Due to its geographic, administrative territory of the commune Hoghiz is characterized by a pronounced variability of geomorphological appearance. Whole area is on the left side of Olt and geomorphological appearance is closely linked to the evolution of the watercourse. Hoghiz is the village of Geomorphologically area where the two major forms of relief, namely the mountain and lowland, the going on the right side of Olt in contact with Hartibaciu plateau. The largest part of the village is contained within the area represented by mountain slopes with different exposures and slopes that vary in very wide limits (from 15-20% to 80-100%).

Related to the mountain village belongs Hoghiz massive Persian, that its slopes north - west. In the area are identified a series of peaks with relatively smooth appearance conical surfaces, plates destined for grazing and narrow valleys, and on its feet, advancing to the bed Olt, meet a series of meadows that danteleaza depression and create a series of bays.
