Lowe’s home improvement store. The 117,000-square-foot building is the biggest design concept the company offers, and is reserved for larger markets.

The outdoor garden center, which adds another 31,000 square feet to the location, employs a nursery specialist who assists customers with questions, especially about native plants or those that can adapt to the Southern Arizona climate.

Shoppers have the opportunity to use the Customer Design Center, a medium-sized area in the store that functions much like a workshop, where people can design their own kitchens and play with different color schemes and other tools. The area is adjacent to the sample kitchens already on display.
