Hi I am Vara Prasad Vantapati.When we are talking about Our Dumpagadapa Degree College, we must remember one person, He is Mr.Theophilus Sir, who was the principal of this degree college almost 20 years. In your college Development, his involvement and dedication was highly appreciated. Staff Members( Mr.Subbaraya Sarma, Mr.Mohan Rao, Mr.Gopal Raju, Mr. Bose B) were putting their errorts in the development of the College. I did my Graduation(B.Com-2000-2003) and Intermediate(1998-2000)from these colleges. I enjoyed a lot during this time and We had great memories and happies moments during this period. I feel very proud to study in this college. We never understand the greatness of this college. During this pongal I have visited Degree College. I met some of the staff members. Subbaraya Sharma is going to retire in the month of April. We wish him that the rest of the life will be happy and healthy. Thanks Subbaraya Sharma Sir, really we are happy with your classes, meditation and Poetry. These Colleges produce so many Educates, I am saying "Hi" to everyone who studied in this college earlier. Please try to get the best, happiest and helthy life. All the best to every one.

  • These Colleges are established in 1974 by Sri Chintalapati Sitarma chandra Vara Prasada Murthy Raju garu, who is Gandhian and also the Chairman of Gandhi Hill at Vijayawada. Sri Murthy Raju established 120 Educational institutions through out the Andhra pradesh, there are High Schools, Junior Colleges, Degree Colleges and Professional Colleges also. These Colleges are also under that roof. Sri Molugu Ranganadha Charyulu who is the resident of Dumpagadapa Agraharam donated 7 1/2 Acres of valuble land to these Colleges. And also other Kshatrian people donated 7 acres to this College. The total availbale land is 14 1/2 acres. In Junior College there are C.E.C., H.E.C., and M.P.C (TM) courses are there. About 600 students are studying in Junior College. In Degree College B.A., B.Com., and B.Sc.,(Maths, Physics and Computer Science) Courses are availabale and about 300 students are studying. The Degree College has been awarded B+ by the National Accredition and Assessment Council (NAAC). The College Development Committee has been developed buildings with the help of MPLADs of Sri Kanumuri Ramachandra Raju (Abbai Raju) Local M.L.A., Sri Md. Youns, M.P., Sri Bh.Rama Chandra Raju, M.P., Sri U.Krishnam Raju, Minister a worth of Rs.15.00 lakhs and also with the Govt. funds. They built two stored Building to Degree College with 15 rooms and 10 rooms building to Junior College. They also developed the Play ground. Last year Degree College conducted 'D' Zone tournaments with the colloboration of Andhra Univeristy and local philontrophists. About 200 players are particiapted in various items. This year the degree College conducted Inter University Volley ball selections from 16.09.07 and 18.09.2007. There are 20 candidates are selected provisionally. The selected team who plays under the Andha University.
