Laurel Hill Cemetery was founded in 1836 and designed by John Notman. It became a model for the rural cemetery movement. The cemetery stands as a rich repository of both art and historical artifacts. Its monuments embody the design, craftsmanship and iconography of 19th and 20th century American funerary art. This historic cemetery is the resting place for many prominent Philadelphians and 41 Civil War Generals from both the North (Meade) and the South (Pemberton). It is a National Historic Landmark and open to the public. Tours are available.

  • Thats where Adrian was buried in Rocky 6
  • You can still see Adrian's 'gravestone' from the movie. The cemetery is a great place for a Sunday walk.
