Talaonga Beach (Cogon)

Philippines / Bicol / Talaongan / Cogon

A nice beach in the town of Sta. Magdalena, it has wide black sugary fine sand shoreline, adjacent to Balete one of the barrio of Bulusan town. A big rock serves as the jumping board into the deep water. Though the water here is deep still it is safe for swimming, boat riding, scuba diving, snorkeling and also wave surfing. With a nice ambience to enjoy.

To go to this beach rent a tricycle from downtown proper of Sta. Magdalena or take southbound road direction towards Sta. Magdalena, Sorsogon. Upon reaching the Welcome Sta. Magdalena Sign Board continue driving up to Talaonga Crossing Road turn left and follow then go to Alig-igan Road and proceed to Talaonga. Ask the local residents on how to go to the beach.

  • Thank you for your picturesque description of Talaonga beach. It seems very inviting to spend a day with a picnic basket and snorkeling gear. Could you post pictures of this beach along with photos of the road that leads to it? Advertising the charms of Talaonga should attract many people , both local and visitor alike. I have relatives in Bulusan, and have spent many a summer bare-footing across its own gray-sanded beach (in Dap-dap), and understand very well your description. Please write again.
