The old building of the redoubt, built in sec. the eighteenth century, originally served as a theater, concert hall and balls. The building was demolished in 1892 and rebuilt for years 1893-1894 from Bank funds "Kronstadter Allgemeine Sparkasse". He wore the "Redoubt" after a famous hall in Vienna and worked as a cinema, theater and salsa dances and concerts.
Property is nominated as a historic monument and part of the historical center of Brasov with the title of Reserve of Architecture. Currently, the institute hosts several cultural events, including the Philharmonic concerts, exhibitions, music concerts and modern plays.
