The Philharmonic Society Stella Maris founded in 1914 is the oldest musical society in Sliema. The Society takes an active part in musical and cultural events held in Sliema and through the country. A very active role is played by the society during the Stella Maris Feast that is celebrated on the third Sunday of August.
