The east tower of this complex belongs to the Northrop-Grumman Corp, a major supplier of hardware to the US Military. The building is 381 feet tall - the tallest in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. The FAA tried to block its construction as a "hazard to navigation" for flights arriving at Washington National Airport. For noise abatement, aircraft must now fly down the center of the Potomac River, noticeably close to the building.
