Peruvanam Nadavazhi, a unique destination where the Panchari melom (Percussion concert) is performed continuously for long 16hrs, during Peruvanam Pooram (World's second oldest socio-religious festival still in observance in the world). Peruvanam is the heartland and hotbed of percussion and supreme chief Perucssion artists hail from this village. Peruvanam is location ata 100mtr distance from Cherpu-the epicentre of culture. Late Peruvanam Narayana Marar, Late Peruvanam Appu Marar and now his son Peruvanam Kuttan Marar, known as the King of Perucssion (M E L A K A L A C H A K R A V A R T H I) is the chief percussionist.
