village, fortification, mining
Celtic ant other tribes mined gold from Blanice river at this place neighbour in ancient times. (Kammberg, Czech "zlaté hory" means golden hills)
Rests of placer mining dead dumps are founded on the river banks around. The village was founded by German miners in 11th century. First written mention came from 1281 (Karrenberg). This manor owned at first Lords of Landstein (branch of Rosenbergs), later Lords of Kammberg, than Lords of Khuenburg, with the adjacent gold mines of course.
