mountain, island
Talim Island is located at the center of the Laguna de Bay lake under the municipality of Binangonan on the western side and the municipality of Cardona on the eastern side in the province of Rizal, Philippines. The island is rich in bamboo grass, with which islanders make different types of furniture such as bamboo sofas, cabinets, tables, chairs and a lot more. It is the main source of their living, while fishing on the lake is only secondary.
Its most famous feature is Mt. Talim or Bundok ng Susong Dalaga (Breasts of a Maiden), which is actually a "volcano." They are two conical hills that do resemble a woman's breasts but they can only be best seen from Mt. Sembrano in Jala-Jala, Rizal.
The following images above were taken from Sta. Rosa, Laguna where only one of the conical hills of Mt. Talim is visible.
