Pythal Mala (Vaithal Mala)

Hill station. Good For trekking JANUARY TO APRIL, It is the tallest hill in Kannur District.
Paitalmala (Vaital Mala)
"Pytal Mala (Vaital Mala)" is a very beautiful hill (around 4500 ft. above the sea level). Of late, it is a tourist center and it is listed in the Cannore district tourism catalogue. At the top most is a vast meadow, uninhabited, with occasional patches of trees with springs of (icy)cold natural water. There is also a watch tower, in which the mountaineers can rest.

  • ofcourse it is a must see place in kannur district... if u hav a real adventurous spirit in u..try getting here in the rain...its an amazing experience...but dnt try it if u r new to this place bcz leeches and fog may make u in knee deep trouble..and u cant see the vast green strps of tropical rain forests... but if u need just a trekking and sight seeing come here during summer..u wil b enchanted by this place ... you can access this place from kappimala near alakode nad also through velladu...both of these trek paths are more interesting just look at the photos...but they all are taken in summer season...

  • It takes me back to school days, we used to bunk the classes and visit this place by walking. A very good tourist palce that one should visit. You can even see the ocean from one corner of this hill station. Best Regards, Robince
