The Temple is one of the oldest SUN temple, although not a famous one. The story goes- A holy women named KANAKA use to pray GOD SUN (ADITYA).GOD came to her dreams and showed her the place where his Idol would be. Near the shore there is big crater in the hill.. that's the place.(Kanaka+Aditya=Kanakaditya).
Please DO NOT visit this place drunk or unbathed. You will not be allowed to enter the temple (a real holy & sacred place).

  • This is 800+ yrs old temple..You will also see the 'Panchaytan' which means the temples of Lord Ganpati,Shiva,Vishnu and Mahalakshmi.. If you want to visit this place then visit during Rathasaptami festival or on Ekadashi.. If you plan to visit it on Week-end then don't miss the Bhajan on Sunday evening.

  • A Must visit place. Sun Temples are very few in our country. This temple is well maintained by local peoples. You can also see the ancient copper plate (Tamra-Pat) in which details of this temple are given. There is a rennovation work of temples hall (Sabha mandap) is going on at present.
