God Marleshwar lived here before moving to a cave in Sahyadri ghat now poularly known as Marleshwar. One can find remainder of old Marleshwar temple here. People of Muradpur called as Bhoiraj gets the honor of carrying Marleshwar's palkhi on midnight of 14th January every year on the holy occasion of Marleshwar's marriage.
