Henry Cavendish School. Two separate schools in fact – the building to the right is an Infants school for children aged up to 7 whereupon they progress to the junior school which are the buildings to the left where they remained until the age of eleven.

Approx 600 pupils in the junior school with approx 180-200 in the Infants.

Very unusually for any school at that time (late 1960’s/eary 1970’s) it had it’s own indoor swimming pool.
