Former Orroral SLR Observatory

The Orroral SLR Observatory was operated by National Mapping and AUSLIG from 1972 until 1998. The observatory closed on 31 October 1998 and was replaced by a new facility located on Mt Stromlo.The observatory played an important role in the Australian and international geodetic framework for more than 25 years.
