This Garden is one of the prominent landmarks of Gandhi Nagar. The Name "Island Park" couldn't have been more appropriate as it's actually like a mini Island with a continuous road circling around it. On a more philosophical side the name Island still holds good as some sources say that this park actually has a huge water resorvoir below it & a couple of wells can be really seen in the Park.

The circular road around it is flanked by continuos shops, commercial establishments & even a Cinema talkies ("Swarn",a real golden pearl of it's times,seems to have lost to the speed of the changing times).The complete locality is known as "Gol Market", obviously due to it's shape.

The local administration really needs do a lot more to do a decent facelift & make it a popular hangout.
