Also known as Grand Encampment. Population was 450 as of 2010 census. Has a pioneer museum that is well regarded, with much history relating to the copper boom from 1895 to 1910 when town was home to large copper smelter and terminus of 16 mile aerial tramway that brought raw ore down from the mines near the continental divide.
