Control and audit activity of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation is effectuated in the following areas of control:
- control over the timely execution of the revenue and expenditure items of the federal budget in their amount, structure and aimed application, the evaluation of the feasibility of the federal budget's projects;
- control over the timely execution of the revenue and debit items of the budgets of the state non-budgetary funds in amount, structure and aimed application, the evaluation of the feasibility of the projects of the state extra-budgetary funds' budgets;
- the establishment of the effectiveness and appropriateness of the use of the state property, control over receipts towards the federal budget obtained from the use and employment of the state property;
- control over the condition of the domestic and foreign debt of the Russian Federation and the use of credit assets;
- control over the banking system in servicing the federal budget and the national debt of the Russian Federation.
