Cold Spring Harbor Beach Club

USA / New York / Cold Spring Harbor /

Cold Spring Harbor developed into a resort in the 1880's. Tourists came by rail or on excursion boats to stay at large hotels such as the Glenada on the eastern shore of the harbor. When the hotel closed, the property was purchased by millionaire Walter Jennings, who razed the building but retained its annex for use by residents. Today it is the Cold Spring Harbor Beach Club.
