The Last Mile (Interstate 295)

For nearly 20 years Interstate 295 was left incomplete due to environmental wrangling over wetlands protection. Traffic bound for Trenton was forced to exit at the Rt 130 Bordentown exit and then take Rt 130 to Rt 206 to the interchange with I-195.

The "last mile" was finally completed in the late 1990's and devastated the roadside businesses along Rt 130 and 206.
