Oxford College, located on Emory's original campus 38 miles east of Atlanta, is one of two undergraduate divisions of Emory that admits first-year students to Emory's baccalaureate program. This campus opened in 1836, the main campus moved to the Atlanta area in 1915. During the Civil War, this location was used as a Confederate hospital and later a Union headquarters. The campus includes a Confederate cemetery.
