  • I am a native of Sivakasi. The tomb of late Rev.Ragland was very much inside our Family Deity's land.We use to offer Pongal during our estival and use to light his tomb often, since he was a respected missionary.During his last days he was sick and was adviced rest, but,he chose to continue,as usual,he was unable to cross the small stream due to heavy rain and died there.People with him gave him a noble burial, the place later happened to be our temple charity. His followers constructed a prayer hall and offered prayers by crossing our land, which was allowed as a matter of reespect. But,fate prevailed, some of them tried to acquire the land clandestinely by altering the map in Govt.records,by showing the passage we use to allow them to the grave as public road. But,we were alerted in time and after much hardship we proved their claim as false and under the guidance of Rev.ESRA.Sargunam,with pain our heart, the remains of the missionary was dug and shifted to their church ground with due honour.Since I was a witness to the ugly story I regret the attitude and the cunning actions by those who manipulated the situations to a false claim. This ungraceful event could have been avoided had those people acted honestly. But,the good hearts of the church are still following the good efforts of the Late Rev.Ragland.
  • Hats off,Mr.Srikanth
