  the name kalingapatnam was come in many different ways, it was said by the old people that once the place was ruled by the nawabs, and after the death of a madina baba the finger was burried in the samadhi, the finger called killing in urdhu,on ages the name changed to calinga by british and placed named callingapatnam. The other tale was from times of king ASHOKA
