Morningside Crossing. A new open-air shopping centre built in 2008, replacing the former Morningside Mall. Shops include Food Basics, Shoppers Drug Mart, Mark's Work Warehouse, CIBC, TD Canada Trust, Scotiabank, Bank of Montreal, Blockbuster, Starbucks, KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and GoodLife Fitness.

The old Morningside Mall was built in in the late 1970's and torn down in 2007. Former Anchors were, Wal-Mart, Dominion and Shoppers Drug Mart, and included a host of various other shops in it's many years of service.

  • Use to be home to Woolco, don't forget, before Wal-Mart assimilated us all.
  • I drove by this location last day. Starbucks is moving in. As well... Pizza Hut is moving it's location from Kingston Rd & Lawrence to this mall. Aug 15/07.

  • Another local landmark gone, a "community" shopping centre where people could meet indoors in the winter ... now demolished and being replace mostly by Big Box Bullshit.
  • The old Morningside Mall was used in filming the 1990s TV series "Ready or Not."
