Rooftop Review, from Nuvo Reader Lisa Hendrickson writes: On a recent Friday night my husband and I returned to the Shelbi Street Café. At the risk of attracting a flock of new diners who will force us to wait in line the next time, I encourage every bistro lover to try this small, cozy restaurant in the historic Fountain Square building. It’s one of the best restaurants in the city in terms of quality and value. Whenever we visit, we consider trying the variety of interesting sandwich and pizza options, but can’t manage to veer from the small but mighty list of dinner entrees. During our last trip, my husband had the wisdom, prompted by our thoughtful server, to order the Caribbean grouper. Fortunately, he’s a sharing soul, for this lightly breaded fish sautéed in butter was on par with the finest restaurants. We both agreed that this was one of the best fish dishes we had ever tasted. The grouper was paired with perfectly ripe mango slices, Caribbean rice with fresh pineapple and fresh asparagus spears. I chose the Ahi tuna encrusted with sesame seeds, seared on the outside and rare on the inside, exactly as requested. The high-quality tuna steak was served with pickled ginger and wasabi, along with spicy Thai noodles.....
