In 1996, the Congress renamed Lost Creek Dam, along with the adjoining intake structure, in honor of William L. Jess, one of the founders of the Rogue Basin Association.

Lost Creek is just another way to kill salmon for the benefit of the tourists. You are a parasite. Think about it. My mother is buried at the fork of the Rogue River. Why are you here?
  • My grandparents, dad, and aunts and uncles lived under this lake. Their land was taken to flood the valley. My grandfather had pending lawsuits against the government till he eventually passed away.
