Precinct of Montu (Luxor)

This area of the Karnak temple complex was dedicated principally to Montu, the falcon-headed Egyptian war god. The precinct also included temples of Maat and Harpare, and a sacred lake. The enclosure dates to the reign of Nektanebo I (380-362 BC). Most monuments here are poorly preserved. The area is not open to the public.
