This area of the precinct of the temple of Amun Ra at Karnak is utilized to display early structural material recovered from some of the temple's pylons where it had been utilized as fill in later times. With the help of the inscriptions covering one or more faces of the blocks, archaeologists have been able to reassemble several recycled structures, like the White Chapel of Senwosret I (Dynasty 12), the Alabaster Chapel of Amenhotpe I (Dynasty 18), and the Red Chapel of Hatshepsut (Dynasty 18).
