Indoor shopping complex anchored by Boscov's, Macy's, and Sears. Attractive to residents of northern Delaware and southern Pennsylvania and New Jersey due to its proximity to major roadways (I-95, US 202, and DE 92) and sales-tax-free status.
Former tenants include F.W. Woolworth's and Spencer Gifts.
In addition to its anchor stores, retailers include Kay-Bee Toys, fye, Hot Topic, Foot Locker, Hallmark, Gamestop, Radio Shack, and American Eagle. Dining options include Chick-Fil-A, Auntie Anne's Pretzels, Burger King, McDonalds, and Cafe Riviera restaurant.
Fine/casual dining options can be found in the form of Champps and Ruby Tuesday.
Sharing the mall property's perimeter are Best Buy electronics, Sephora beauty products, and Barnes & Noble Booksellers.
In addition to various shopping centers to the north and south of the mall's property, a series of casual dining options can be found across US 202/Concord Pike from the mall, including Olive Garden, TGI Fridays, and Red Lobster.
The main mall was built in 1969 attached to the existing Almart store. Almart opened in 1965. In 1971, a Pomeroy's was added to the north end of the mall. In 1983, a Strawbridge & Clothier was added to the west of the mall. Around that time, the Almart closed and became a Jefferson Ward. Jefferson Ward later became Bradlees, which closed in 1988 and was demolished. A Sears was added to this end of the mall in 1992. Pomeroy's closed all their stores in 1990, and this one is now a Boscov's. Strawbridge & Clothier and their newer Strawbridge's stores were all converted to Macy's in 2006.
