In mid-2015, the Harris Teeter that was here since about 2001 or 2002 was closed and converted to a Kroger, which opened in February 2016. Before Harris Teeter, there was, according to Nashville Scene, a "Compton’s Foodland, the now-deserted Blankenship Drugs, and a strip of tiny shops".
