Zalissia

Abandoned in 1986 due to Chernobyl Disaster. Before the disaster, the population was about 3000 people (2849 more precisely). One resident remains. Nature is reclaiming the site and the structures are thickly overgrown.

Zalissia is a former village in Ukraine, Vyshhorod district, Kyiv region, which was removed from the register due to the resettlement of residents as a result of the Chernobyl accident.
After the Chornobyl accident, the residents of Zalissia were relocated to the village of Nove Zalissia in Borodyanka district. It was officially de-registered in 1999. As of 2005, 5 self-settlers lived in the village. Before the accident, the village had over 3000 inhabitants.

The village is located at a distance of 600 m from Chornobyl.
