Before the accident, - the territory of the shipyard. In 1921 on the site of the workshop began to repair ships, which employs more than 200 workers. In 1932, on the basis of repair shops created shipyard, which served the Dnieper Shipping Company.

After the accident, the territory assigned to the production association "Chornobyl Forest" (the old name - "Chernobylles"), which is tasked with the management of forest areas - Supervision and recovery.

According to the site forum.pripyat.com, under the supervision of "Chornobyl Forest", including are reserves whose status has existed since Soviet times and has not changed after the accident.

On the territory of the zone is 12 objects of nature reserve fund - 2 reserve one tract and 9 natural monuments.
