At 60 km from Brasov, is Vad Grove nature reserve or "groves coprine", as locals call this ("coprina" is one of the popular names of narcissus). This nature reserve covers about 400 hectares and is the largest nature reserve for wild daffodils in Europe, best known by everyone as the Daffodil Glade.

Daffodil is a flower prized since antiquity, whose name is derived from the name given to young Narcissus, who is very cocky and despised love with his beauty, was punished by the goddess Nemesis to fall in love with own image that you see in the mirror water and die unhappy, unable to fulfill his love (goddess had taken and minds, and Narcissus knew that that face is just his face). Legend says further that the place where the young man died of pain, has sprung a flower white, strong smelling (narcissus), for the deed and the name of the young to endure.

The Daffodil Festival is held every year in Daffodil Glade on May 21, at day Saints Constantine and Helena and is an excellent opportunity to see this wonder of nature, to take part in a festival of Transylvanian traditions and to taste prepared local cuisine. At Daffodil Festival, tourists have some dance and folk song, the costumes and customs.
