Santo Tomas is a coastal municipality in the province of La Union in the Philippines. As of the 2010 Census, it had a population of 35,999 people.

The town was formerly part of Mangaldan, Pangasinan. In 1764, Santo Tomas was created through a Spanish Royal Decree. Spanish authorities named the town of Santo Tomas in honor of their first patron saint, Santo Tomas de Aquinas.
